Course Description:

This 200 level one-credit professional writing course will provide students with an introduction to researching grants and writing grant applications.  Students will identify a project to develop a project proposal, then research and apply for grant funding to support that project. Proposed projects can be real (when applicable) or a mock proposal. Projects should be relevant to a student's area of study and future professional development goals. Some on campus grant funding opportunities for students include the Center for Sustainability Grant proposals, Research and Development Grants, and Tompkins Study Abroad Scholarship Grants.
