Course Description:
This course will present a computer-based approach to statistics as applied to biological systems. Students will be exposed to real experimental data to study the methods used to analyze that data. The course will give students an appreciation of the widespread use of statistics and its importance in decision making. The methods that will be emphasized in this course are experimental design, sampling techniques, regression analysis, analysis of variance, and non-parametric tests. (3 hours lecture).
