Course Description:
The relationship Americans have with food has changed greatly in the last two decades. A number of factors have taken us from crowd sourced, mass produced, perpetually consistent, always available, widely distributed products to a rebirth of the interest in regional, unusual, small batch, artisanal and personally created items. The course explores this cultural phenomenon with specific attention paid to its effects on how Americans choose travel and leisure spending options in relation to it. Prerequisite: Social Cultural Foundation course Completes General Education Requirements:SC-I, LAS.
