Course Description:
This introductory-level course will provide students with "hands-on experience" in the art studio. The concepts and processes necessary to produce art using various techniques such as drawing, painting, woodcarving, and collage will be addressed. Students will be encouraged to experiment with the different mediums. They will be introduced to the principles of composition, dimensionality, and color with an emphasis on individual expression. (3 hours lecture). Completes General Education Requirement:RE-R.
