Course Description:
This course allows students to develop their musical proficiency while rehearsing and performing as part of an ensemble. The students will be divided into appropriate performance groups, based on their stylistic preferences, instruments, and abilities. These groups will each give three on-campus performances during the semester. The students will rehearse both by themselves and with the instructor, and they will develop and publish a program for each concert. Taken three times, this course will fulfill only an Open Elective requirement; it will not substitute as a Social & Cultural Engagement or Responsibility & Expression course. Grading is Pass/Fail.
