Course Description:

Principles of classical ballet training with emphasis on development of technical movement skills and aesthetics. Students will study French ballet vocabulary, ballet as a profession, characteristics of classical and contemporary ballet, care of a dancer’s body and ballet as a form of artistic expression. Attendance at performances required.
