Course Description:

This course focuses on the drama and performance styles of Ancient Greece, Elizabethan England, and Neoclassical France and England, as well as displaced styles. Students are introduced to the cultural milieu of each historical period and the theatrical conventions in force at that time, participating in a variety of psychophysical exercises designed to immerse them in that particular world.
