Course Description:

This course is the laboratory extension of SPMD 205. The purpose of the class is to allow the student to gain experience in assessment of a client/athlete in the following areas: assess resting and exercise blood pressure, assess resting and exerciser heart rate, assess submaximal graded cardiorespiratory exercise tests utilizing a variety of equipment, assess anaerobic exercise testing utilizing a variety of equipment, assess flexibility utilizing a flexometer and goniometer, assess and determine V02 in order to prescribe cardiorespiratory exercise, assess upper and lower body muscular strength, muscular power, and muscular endurance utilizing a variety of equipment, assess client body composition utilizing a variety of equipment. The student will be exposed to the utilization of ECG. The student will be able to bring classroom theory into practical experience.
