Course Description:

An introduction to the evolution of life on Earth, from sea creatures to dinosaurs. Topics include the birth and future death of the earth, movement of the continents, the impact of asteroids and comets on life and landforms with associated extinction events, structure and composition of the Earth. Emphasis placed on the history of life as told by fossils preserved in the Earth's crust. Corequisite: GEOL 111.
