Course Description:
An overview of field techniques used in geology with an emphasis on how to operate independently in the field. An emphasis is placed on geologic mapping, but measuring and describing stratigraphic sections, using topographic and related maps, and the uses of other field-focused equipment will also be reviewed. Typically offered during summer.
