Course Code:
PSYC 450
Course Description:

Psychologists meet to discuss new findings and trends annually at national conventions. This 1 credit course would invite you to join faculty from the Department of Psychology at one such convention. This experience is designed to help you develop as a professional psychologist. You will attend sessions related to your interests (e.g., Relationship Psychology, Neuroscience) held by leaders in the field. You will also begin a professional network that can lead to pre-and post-graduate opportunities like summer internships, graduate school, and/or a career in psychology. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, you will witness firsthand what it is like to be an engaged professional in psychology. Furthermore, all the above goals will be achieved while you visit and explore a vibrant American city with peers and your knowledgeable faculty.
