Course Description:
The course will examine the physical atmospheric and oceanographic reasons for everyday weather, by examining general circulation, the imbalance of incoming solar radiation caused by the tilt of the earth causing seasons, and the particular weather that each season brings to the midlatitudes. Other factors, such as location from large bodies of water, elevation, and local orography will also be considered as factors for weather phenomenon.
