Course Description:
Epidemiology is a complex field with rigorous methodologies. This course will build on Principles of Epidemiology I to provide students with an advanced knowledge of methods to track disease cause and spread. Students will learn how to diagnose and address threats to validity in epidemiologic study designs. They will learn to model comples multivariable problems using both parametric and nonparametric statistics. The method covered will include analyses of proportions, rates, and time to failure as well as parametric models for hazard functions and proportional hazards regression.
