Natural Science

Program Codes: NTSC
Bachelor of Science

The B.S. in Natural Science prepares students for careers in the sciences. Graduates will be adept in the scientific process and scientific reasoning. Graduates will complete foundational courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. They will also complete upper-level courses in the life sciences. Most importantly, students will be able to solve problems using the scientific process and appropriate technology. The B.S. in Natural Science pairs well with minors such as communication, business, and geographic information systems (GIS). This degree is broader than standard discipline-specific degrees such as biology. It is more focused on the scientific process than other degrees in natural sciences. It prepares students to work for government or private agencies, the research industry or in other related capacities. They will also be competitive for graduate school in the sciences.

Program Outcomes:

  2. Develop a comprehensive knowledge of physical and biological phenomena.
  3. Integrate scientific inquiry and knowledge into problem-solving.
