ADMISSIONS

Mercyhurst University is a community of learners grounded in the Mercy tradition and dedicated to the lifelong development of the whole person. Applicants are evaluated from a holistic perspective in the context of opportunities they have been afforded and challenges they have faced. In addition to considering the academic achievement and potential, special attention is also given to leadership experience, professional experience, community service, and the contributions an applicant might make to enrich and contribute to our campus community.

The Office of Graduate and Professional Admissions serves a variety of applicants, in addition to master’s degree-seeking students. The policies outlined in this catalog only apply to graduate students. Other populations served by the office, including non-traditional aged (adult) students, students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree, and students seeking admission to an associate or certificate program, should consult the Undergraduate Catalog.
