Information Technology Fundamentals


Certificate of Achievement

This certificate program provides students with a foundation in Information Technology concepts including identifying and explaining computer components, installing software, establishing network connectivity and preventing security risks. Students completing this certificate of achievement are required to attempt the CompTIA IT Fundamentals examination.

Program Outcomes

Graduates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate introductory knowledge of fundamental concepts and theories of Information Technology.
  • Utilize productivity software suitable for use in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic networking technologies.
  • Pass the CompTIA Fundamentals certification exam.
Program Requirements:

A. Depending upon a student's placement or for transfer purposes, this program may have pre-requisite(s). See a pathway coordinator or student development specialist for advisement.

B. Students completing this certificate of achievement are required to attempt the CompTIA IT Fundamentals examination. Please contact Professor Clement Bamkole (cbamkole@pccc.edu) for a free test voucher.
