Office of Accessibilty Services

Accessibility Services for Students
Accessibility Services works to ensure that any student with documented disabilities receives reasonable accommodations in accordance with the policies underlying Section 504 of The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and The Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008. Students receive services and accommodations while completing regular course offerings, and all students are held to the same academic standards of the College.

Passaic County Community College recognizes that students with documented physical, emotional, medical, or learning disabilities may require accommodations to meet their learning potential. The Office of Accessibility Services serves to both determine and document what reasonable accommodations may be for the student. Reasonable accommodations are provided on a case-by-case basis. To qualify for accommodations, students must submit appropriate professional documentation that shows they have an impairment that limits a major life activity.

The Office of Accessibility Services is located in Memorial Hall, Room 244 on the Paterson campus. Meetings can be arranged at the Passaic Academic Center or the Wanaque Academic Center. To contact the Office of Accessibility Services, please email ods@pccc.edu or link to the Office of Accessibility Services website.
