Virtual/Zoom Class Meeting Guidelines

Virtual/Zoom Class Meeting Guidelines

Being in a Zoom classroom is similar to being in an on-campus classroom.

Zoom is a live remote learning course. Successful class sessions will be supported by a student's adherence to the guidance below:

1. Dress and behave as if you are in a live classroom setting. Remember, you will be viewable, or heard, by the entire class during a Zoom session and you should conduct yourself accordingly.

2. Have your camera on during the meeting.

3. Remain attentive during the session, remember you are on camera.

4. Avoid outside distractions and side conversations. Background noises should be minimized.

5. Mute your microphone when you are not speaking. Using headphones is strongly suggested.

6. If the Chat feature is allowed, remember to use only appropriate materials relevant to the class in a Chat.

7. All aspects of the student conduct code apply to a live Zoom class session. Disruptive or non-attending participants may be mutes and/or removed from a Zoom session.

Notes: Remember, we want you to succeed. If you have any questions about these guidelines, please contact your professor.
