The Forestry Capstone Experience is designed to be a culminating endeavor based upon student coursework, reading, interests, and experience. This experience differs from other courses in that students must work with external collaborators to address real-world forestry issues and construct innovative solutions based on landowner/stakeholder goals in objectives. The process involves, gathering and analyzing information, communicating with stakeholders, applying previously acquired knowledge and producing an oral presentation along with a written report. This report is often in the form of a forest management or stewardship plan. Prerequisite: Senior standing or Instructor approval
