Course Description:
Principles and practices of sustainable/green construction, including: design and construction, siting; renewable and certified materials; permeable paving; contstruction costs; energy efficiencies; and construction-related certifications, including LEED, and certifications related to the use of certified building materials, including SFI, FSC; grounds development and ecological restoration. Prerequisites: NRS 110 Intro to Environment & Society or SUS 120 Sustainable Community Agriculture.
