Course Description:
Intermediate I Rock Climbing picks up where Introductory Rock Climbing left off, introducing students to the concepts related to efficiently following a lead climber on single and simple multi-pitch climbs. Techniques such as belaying a leader, belaying a top roped climber from above, call signals, rope tug signals, escaping a loaded belay, protection removal/racking, belay station tie-ins and multi-pitch rappels are all taught and practiced. This course involves four, full day sessions. There is a course fee associated with this class. Pre-requisite: REC 160 Introduction to Rock Climbing.
