A continuation of Origins of American Government and Politics (POL 200), this course is an examination of the structure, organization, and operation of American government at the national level, with emphasis on the relationship between the ideal inherent in American democracy as studied in Origins of American Government and Politics and the actual operation of the government. (3 hours lecture). Prerequisite: POL 200 Origins of American Government and Politics Completes General Education Requirement:LAS.
