Principles of Sports Management

Course Description:
Students will gain a basic understanding of the various dimensions of sports, including its history, fitness as an organized physical activity, social and economic challenges (gender differences, racial implications, political considerations, and financial responsibilities.) This course will introduce students to the management of sports events (locally, nationally, and internationally.), and building and managing financial budgets for sustainability. Students will investigate the modern evolution of the business of sports, incorporating vast and different organizations. Finally, students will be introduced to the various career fields and employment opportunities that exist in Sports Management. Completes General Education Requirements for: SC-F
