Course Description:
An introductory course designed to develop a basic understanding of the legal aspects of business. The functions and operations of the court system are discussed. Formation of the single proprietorship, partnership, and the corporation types of business are examined. Contracts, their formation, legal effect, and discharge; trust and agency; employer-employee relationships; and government regulation are also discussed. (3 hours lecture). Completes General Education Requirement:SC-R.
