Course Description:
When communities come together to address a specific issue or develop a project, change is inevitable. This course will investigate how individuals respond and react to change. Students will explore strategies to effectively and cooperatively address these concerns and by investigating and committing to skills and best practices associated with inspiring action, minimizing resistance, and gaining commitment. Specific focus will be given to models of change processes such as Appreciative Inquiry and Action Research which can leverage existing culture to prevent resistance and promote accountability. Completes General Education Requirements:SC-I, RE-I, LAS.
