Course Description:
An in-depth focus on the principles and practices of ecosystem and habitat restoration, by evaluating case studies of restored waste disposal sites, urban landscapes, surface mine lands, and aquatic habitats, including lakes, streams, wetlands, and watershed ecosystems. Topics addressed in the course include bio- and phytoremediation, biomonitoring, best management practices, and invasive species control strategies. Prerequisites: BIO 146. 3credits.
