Course Description:

This course is designed to introduce the student to the study of dental and maxillofacial structures under the scope of dental anthropology and forensic odontology. Topics to be discussed in the course include, but are not limited to dental anatomy and development, dental morphology and human variation, dental identification, age estimation by dental means, bitemark analysis, and the use of odontology in other matters of criminal and civil law. The class will consist of lecture presentations, hands-on laboratory sessions and interactive discussions on the different topics covered.
