Course Description:
This course is an introduction to the uses and practical applications of sound for multimedia. It is a hands-on, practical application course where students will learn the fundamental concepts of contemporary audio production in a computer-based audio environment. The student will create content that meets modern broadcast and web delivery standards (such as podcasts and streaming audio). Working from the perspective of an engineer/producer, the student will experience a client-based production model, culminating in the creation of a deliverable media in conjuction with Laker Student Media.
