New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application

New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application

Students that do not meet citizenship requirements to file a FAFSA application may apply for New Jersey State aid using the New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application.  In order to be eligible to apply, a student must have:

  • Attended a New Jersey high school for at least (3) years;
  • Graduated from a New Jersey high school or obtained its equivalent under New Jersey law, and must;

Be able to sign an affidavit stating that they will file an application to legalize their immigration status or will file an application as soon as they are eligible to do so.
