Small Business Accounting

Course Description:

This course focuses on accounting as applied in the small business setting.   Emphasis is placed on small business record keeping from basic to journalizing to year-end closing, and financial statement preparation.  Use of QuickBooks computerized accounting software will be employed to accomplish the above mentioned tasks.  Additionally, the course will cover selected financial and managerial accounting topics and demonstrate use of basic analytical tools for decision making and problem solving at the small business level.

CSC-105 and a passing score on the algebra portion of the College Placement Test or MAT-014
