Students should meet with an academic advisor each term to review curriculum requirements for their majors and to discuss problems that may interfere with academic success. It is the student’s responsibility to meet all curriculum and College requirements.
Full-time students are assigned a faculty advisor, usually from the academic division that contains their academic program. Full-time faculty members maintain a regular schedule of office hours, which is posted on their office doors. It is the student’s responsibility to make appointments with his/her advisor. Full-time students can find the name of their assigned advisor by going to the Student Planning in WebAdvisor. Once in Student Planning, full-time students can proceed to the “Go to Plan & Schedule” link. After clicking that link, students can proceed to the “Advising” tab. That tab will provide access to the name of the full-time student’s assigned advisor and a link to his/her email address. Advisors may refer students to a counselor in the Department of Counseling or Career and Transfer Services when appropriate.
Part-time students may meet with an advisor in the Academic Advising Center in West Hall on a drop-in basis.
