Adult Training Programs
The Career Training Center provides adults with the opportunities to enhance their present career or prepare for a new career through computer-based training programs. These programs, which meet the needs of businesses, include training in health care, accounting, and software technology. Programs vary in duration from one day to 18 weeks and are available in day, evening and weekend sessions.
The Center provides instructional and support services for adults who need basic skills, high school equivalences and English as a Second Language. These will enable them to function effectively as workers and citizens and to ready them for careers, college, post-secondary education, and training.
The Center’s programs provide career development and job placement services. A series of career development seminars are presented to all students. Topics include resume preparation, interviewing skills and job search. These interactive sessions enhance employability skills and prepare students for the demands of the corporate workplace.
