Financial Aid Programs
There are three basic types of financial assistance programs: grants and scholarships that do not have to be repaid; student loans that must be repaid; and Federal Work-Study which provides part-time jobs for students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. Please note that the availability of federal, state, and institutional funding for financial aid programs is dependent upon the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Financial Aid Verification Process
Students may be selected for a review process called verification by the federal government or by the institution either at random or due to conflicting information. Verification is the process established by the Department of Education to check the accuracy of aid applications. If the student is selected for verification, he or she will need to provide the specific documentation requested through Campus Cruiser/WebAdvisor based on academic year and dependency status.
