Algebra II (Part A)

Course Description:
The first half of a two-semester course in intermediate algebra designed to polish skills developed in Algebra I and elevate them to a higher level of mathematical sophistication through the use of lecture, group work and the calculator. Topics include: A review of elementary algebra, the coordinate plane and graphs of functions, functional notation, linear equations and inequalities, properties of lines, systems of linear equations and polynomials. TI83/84 graphing calculator is required. Students must complete this course and Mat 014B to fulfill the MAT 014 requirement. Note: A "C" is the minimum acceptable grade for completion of the developmental level or movement to MAT 014B.
