Educational Opportunity Fund Program

The New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund provides financial assistance and support services (e.g. counseling, tutoring, and developmental course work) to students from educationally and economically disadvantaged backgrounds who attend institutions of higher education in the State of New Jersey. Undergraduate grants range from $263 annually to $1,050 annually. These grants are renewable based upon continued eligibility.

  • Awards range from $263 to $525 per semester.
  • The College uses State guidelines to determine eligibility.
  • The student is notified via a Student Eligibility Notice (SEN) from the State.

Garden State Scholarship Program

To be eligible for these scholarships, students must be nominated by their high school guidance departments to the New Jersey Education Student Assistance Authority. Recipients must attend a New Jersey postsecondary institution. Students who accept these scholarships must enroll as a full-time undergraduate student. The scholarship recipient must be a New Jersey resident for at least 12 consecutive months prior to enrollment. Financial need is not a factor in determining eligibility. The recipient may also receive TAG and EOF grants if eligible. This award is renewable based upon Satisfactory Academic Progress, continued undergraduate enrollment in a New Jersey college or university, and continued program funding.

  • Awards range from $250 to $1,000.

New Jersey Tuition Aid Grant (TAG)

Grants are available for full and part-time undergraduate students who have been legal residents of New Jersey for at least 12 consecutive months prior to enrolling in a New Jersey institution. Students who have received an associates/baccalaureate degree and beyond do not qualify for any state aid at a two-year college.

  • Awards range from $284 to $2,462
  • The NJ Higher Education Student Assistance Authority uses a State Formula to determine eligibility.
  • Comply with requests from HESAA for additional information with established STATE deadlines.
  • The student is notified via a Student Eligibility Notice (SEN) from the State.

NJ STARS

Students who are enrolled in at least 12 college level credits and do not require remedial study, who graduated from their high school in the top 15% of their class may be eligible for full tuition.
