Course Description : Provides students with the opportunity to examine the relationships between individuals and the economic sector of society, with emphasis upon the world of work. Special focus will be given to the sociology of industry, especially the topics of power, theories of human motivation and management, multinational corporations, social stratification, employment, organizations and bureaucracies and the possibilities of alternative workplace situations.
