Psychology Field Experience

Course Code: PSY-260

Course Description : A cooperative work experience program whereby students are employed in a departmentally approved position in order to gain the practical competency necessary for success in applied psychology. Supervision is provided by the College through on-the-job visits and individual progress review sessions. Students must be approved by the department and are required to describe their learning objectives. Students attend a bi-weekly seminar and work for a total of 180 field experience hours during the semester.

Prerequisites:

PSY-123 with a grade of “C” or better plus written permission of both the department chairperson and Career and Transfer Services located on the 2nd Floor of West Hall.
