Course Description : A cooperative work experience program whereby students are employed in a visual arts position in order to gain some of the practical experience necessary for success in various aspects of visual arts: artistic, technical and/or administrative. The College provides supervision of this departmentally approved position through on-the-job visits and individual progress sessions. Students are required to establish learning objectives related to their positions in order to effect the attainment of specific job competencies. Students attend a bi-weekly two-hour seminar on campus and work a minimum of 180 hours per semester. Individuals must be recommended by the chairperson of the Visual Arts Department and register with the Counseling and Career Services Office.
