Course Description : A survey of works illustrating the literary experience in the United States from World War II to the present. Students complete reading, writing and research assignments about contemporary American authors such as Albee, Angelou, Baldwin, Brooks, Heller, Oates, O'Connor and Updike, whose works provide perspectives on the social, moral and political changes taking place in contemporary society.
